Objects – Jenga Drawer

The Jenga drawer is designed to provide smart storage solutions for small spaces. Its name comes from the playful, shifting arrangement of its drawers, reminiscent of the wooden block game.

The piece features six drawers that open in alternating directions: one to the front, the next to the side, and so on. Each drawer is also accessible from both sides, as they have no back panel. This makes it a versatile piece, ideal for both corners and as a freestanding object in the center of a room, where it naturally becomes a focal point.

The drawers rest on exposed rails, creating intentional gaps that function as handles while reinforcing the architectural character of the piece. The top tray is removable and serves as a “svuota tasche” (a tray to empty your pockets). When flipped, it becomes a flat surface, turning the drawer into a pedestal with hidden storage. Thanks to its tall, slender form and modular design, the Jenga drawer functions as both storage and sculpture, blurring the line between furniture and art.
